Mad Rush

The biggest travel fair in Malaysia is back again! Yes that's right, I'm talking about the MATTA (The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents ) fair! The newspapers are not lying about the number of people who turned up as there are seriously many many many people there. We parked at the carpark opposite PWTC which was dark, creepy and dangerous-looking. Even the linkway to PWTC from there was eerie-looking. Anyways, I do not know who makes the profit but we had to pay RM3 per person for admission fee. They make money from booth rental as well as admission fees $$$. There were not only travel agencies there but also credit card companies and real estates agency. The camera industry did not let go of this opportunity to grab customers that came for the fair. They had a fair too since they know that many people would turn up at that place. It was like pasar malam, there were promoters shouting " 600 ringgit! 600 ringgit only! JVC camcorder! Last one last one! ". I guess there is a huge competition between the travel agencies. Every company tried their best to promote theirs' as much as they could. Flyers were distributed as if paper price had suddenly gone down. There were promoters dressing up in various costumes to attract our attention, and all sorts of advertisement they could think of. However, there are some agencies that plan to con people's money indirectly. They would put some really cheap price, but in actual fact during the tour there are many optional tours that require customers to pay. They have those free and easy in some of the itineraries but actually they wouldn't let you go by yourself. They insist that you follow them to those con people's money place and force you to listen to them talk and promote their products. Conclusion is, check and scrutinise everything first before making a decision.

This is how Air Asia promotes. But seriously, they should at least buy better aircrafts and change the seat. Imagine sitting on a leather seat for 10 hours! That would serious burn one's butt. But as for now they can't fly 10 hours since the aircraft is so small. It just look so flimsy looking.

Looks so tempting right? BUY 1 TOUR FREE 1. That caught many people's attention to just go there and enquire. And there is indeed such thing as the buy 1 fee 1. However, the FREE tour they offer is only limited to a few places that had already been pre-determine. And also, the itinerary of the FREE tour is unknown. Which means they can bring us to anywhere or even not bring us anywhere. Conclusion : AT THEIR MERCY

I guess people are fed up of the "FROM RMXXXX" price. It's better to just place the exact price to avoid so much trouble.

The talking has already been done even before holiday even started. Usually they will promote products during the tour, but now this agency is promoting places to customers. Some people just sat there because they are tired and needed a place to rest.

I wonder what can this Mr. Clown do to promote? Kids definitely can't swipe credit cards to purchase any air tickets.

He's really taking his time alright. The queue got longer and longer which caused a human traffic jam.

I think stage performance are not very appropriate in fairs like this, especially when it is already so noisy and crowded.

THE PERFORMANCE

This band was making extra unwanted noise. That guy in black was singing Korean songs which was so not romantic at all. Well, there were many other performances as well though. One thing for sure people didn't have the time to sit there to watch them perform.
