Tied the Knot

It takes a lot for someone to give up something for someone else. For example, having to give up eating meat ie. becoming a vegetarian. Would you do it?

Yen & I
The rest of the photos are on facebook =)) Can you believe it? We didn't take any photos with the wedding couple!! Ok maybe they place minimal importance on capturing memories. As I mentioned earlier, they are vegetarian and of course we had vegetarian for dinner :))

*Apart from the super low ceilings, the restaurant is awesome!

The Birthday Girl

Carmen's B'day had always been near the exams, and we seldom get to celebrate it with her. We nearly didn't manage to have a celebration for her this year, but in the end we made it! =)) We went to the other end of the world, from uni all the way to 1u! Had lunch at Pasta Zanmai, great recommendation from the B'day girl. The food there is awesome!! We managed to take a few pics before my phone battery kong out.

Froggy Charlie and his 3 angels =))

It was totally impromptu yet memorable =))
Happy Birthday Carmen!!
We all love you lots! <3

Road Trip

The beginning of our whole road trip to Pulau Ketam!!
And that's when the waiting starts.
Waited for 20 mins for the train to come and we thought that was long.
Wait till later.....
More to come
We were in a submarine-looking boat
Cool eh?
And it takes 40 mins to reach Crab Island
Thank goodness it went at an acceptable speed
And we didn't encounter any pirates =))
They were actually duet-ing in the train and boat
Notice the mp3 player LOL
Romantic-nya
Keen Wai and Sam
A boat went passed them, and they got splashed

Attempted to look tall but failed miserably

Our group photo =))

Notice something?? I didn't take any pictures of the food! We were all starving, totally forgotten to take any pictures. And the food wasn't as I expected, maybe because we went to the wrong restaurant. But nvm I still love the experience of going there. At least I went to another pulau now besides Penang. LOL

The next day itself, there was this news in the newspaper about 400 stray dogs that were dumped by Pulau Ketam residents at Pulau Tengah!! OMG soooo poor thing!

“They were wandering aimlessly, often looking towards Pulau Ketam with eyes that appeared empty and listless,’’

"Some of the dogs had tried to swim back to the main island but had been shooed away, resulting in some of them drowning,"

These two sentences stabbed me in the heart when I read it. *cries* I can't imagine Nikki being trapped at that island where there's totally nothing there!!

And in Pulau Ketam itself, we actually saw a few stray dogs wondering around, going through rubbish searching for food. At that moment, I was thinking, how does it feel being an islander dog?? But now I'm convinced that it's not fun at all being an islander dog.

Our journey back was very hectic as well! We missed the boat by 15 minutes! And we had to wait for another 45 minutes before the next boat departs. Oh but this time, the boat was awesome! It was as if the entire submarine-looking boat went for a total makeover. Cleaner and more comfy :) Like I always say, the journey back always feels faster than when we are going there. We reached back to the train station in no time! Thank goodness we reached there early as the train was arriving in 15 minutes time!

It was another hour before we reached KL Sentral and the train that was departing for midvalley arrived when we just arrived! Yup we did not hesitate at all. Ran like mad cows!! But it was overcrowded! Everyone was pushing their way through till the door can't even close. So there was no way we could catch this train and so we waited for the next one which should arrive in another 15 minutes time. Tick tock tick tock. Unfortunately, it was delayed for another 40 mins!! O.M.G!! We were so not gonna wait for that train! Decided to take a cab instead and there was also a queue for it. Luckily we didn't have to wait long and what a relief it was when we saw midvalley. Had a 2 hour dinner at KFC and you know what amazed me the most? It's that we actually yack non-stop for more than 12 hours! No wonder I fell flat on my bed and doze off immediately when I reached home. LOL
Oh and just one tiny-weeny advise I would like to give. Pulau Ketam is honestly, seriously, super duper freaking unbelievably hot!! There's not a single cloud insight and there's no where to hide as there's hardly any trees there! Is there even a single tree there? Even though it's an island but it's built on stilts so i don't think there's any trees. So...bring lots of shades, caps, sunglasses and wear something that looks like a diving suit to cover every inch of exposed skin.

Conclusion: It was indeed one hectic road trip alright. But I enjoyed myself a lot! *hearts* to all of you! (my gay and non-gay bestfriends) =]]

Music Man

I'd never imagine that I would actually thought of going to Lee Hom's concert. I used to like him very much during primary school days when he was beginning to get famous. I was a big fan of "Forever Love" and "Kiss Goodbye", and a few of his other signature songs. He custom-made his dragon-looking guitar which I think would cost a bomb! And what amazed us most about the performance was the screens. Can you believe it? We were actually very fascinated by the screens! The screens were like huge and they were as clear as LCD screens! Imagine them as giganto LCD screens =)) Maybe I should credit his animation director or whatever he/she is called. There was this part where Lee Hom did a summersault and disappeared, but I wasn't sure whether he did it or it was his stuntman. And within a few seconds, he appeared from stage to all the way behind, among the crowd! At first I was like whoa! But after hearing what Keen Wai had evaluated, it made sense to me. During the few seconds, there was this motorbike that transported Lee Hom from stage to the back. And the crowd went nuts! LOL I knew the motorbike was up to no good! Damn I just knew it.
