Adding to the Collection

This is the result of being indecisive

My Christmas gift from Deary

=)

Somehow we got a flair for soft toys, and on top of that, WE being a part of the lizard clan have an extra affectionate for that purple dinosaur called Barney :)

The yellow dino was suppose to be for my doggie, but I liked it sooo much that I decided to keep it for myself. keke.

Sorry Nikki, as much as I would wanna give it to you, your saliva would be all over it :)

Movie Buff

Chee-Wow-Wa! I totally love this show!! The songs fit in perfectly, the dogs, the actors, the script, the everything! Not much to critique on this movie as it is simply awesome! If you love dogs, just go watch this show, or even if you don't, go watch it too. Maybe you'll love them after watching a few dog shows :) Two thumbs up!

Rating: 8/10

What can I say about this show? When I first saw the poster I thought it would be something like The Day After Tomorrow or some kind of natural disaster show. But it wasn't as I expected it to be. The so-called climax wasn't climax at all. It was monotonous all the way, and then it ended. Deary said that Keanu Reeves's acting is so stone. Well, he is suppose to be that way in the movie. But he was also stone in Matrix according to Deary. This show gave us humans an important message but they didn't present the message well enough, according to Deary again.

Rating: 3+1/10 (+ 1 for the message )

Super Bark! That is suppose to be Bolt's so-called ultimate super power. Sometimes I would go "Awwwww" and "Soooo cute" and most of the time, laughing! Seriously, it is quite entertaining. And there was this sad and touching scene which made me cry. Jeez! I can't believe a cartoon show made me cry. Deary somehow agreed to watch a cartoon movie in cinemas. Usually he would say it's a waste of money to watch cartoons in cinemas. Maybe it's because of my constant persuasion :)

Rating: 7/10

Holiday, with style

I have always fancy hotels, not motels or hostels, but hotels- the nice ones of course. Every hotels gives me a different impression and feeling and each one is unique, and the hotel i stayed in Penang, was no exception.

That's right. I'm talking about g hotel. Yes, just an alphabet. I wonder why isn't the g in capital *no idea*

Mummy and I went shopping throughout our trip there. It is somehow easier to shop when we are on vacation because back home, we would always say, "Aiyoh nvm la next time only buy". But we can't say next time when we are somewhere far away from home. So it's always "Just buy only la".

They were filming a wedding scene by the beach. The movie is soon to be released in Malaysia I guess.

Lol. No la the couple was really getting married and they were having their wedding shoot by the beach =)

Okay, so back to the hotel talk.

This g hotel, is somehow quite stylish compared to the typical hotels. It looks more like a bar rather than a cosy hotel. It's cosy in its own way though. To me, the most important thing about hotels are their rooms. g hotel has satisfactory rooms - clean, spacious, comfy, and great bathroom.

The pool area is small but it gives you a really cosy feeling. If only there are no buildings surrounding the pool area 360 degrees then it would be perfect. Plus a nice sea view then of course it would be better :)

By the way, they had a fire drill during our stay there. *faints*

Mummy confirmed with them a gazillion times whether we have to participate in it, and so they said that it's not compulsory. Most importantly, will the lifts be working during the drill??

Lady over the phone: Yes the lifts will be working

On the actual day...

Ringggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

The alarm bising for so long, and the lifts weren't working -______-

And when you go to Penang how can you not eat Penang food. SO, we went to Gurney Drive to eat. Hate it when there are a gazillion stalls selling the same kind of food. The unfortunate part about this was that I fell sick the next day itself. Having to endure a 4 hour journey to get back home was so torturing.

And so the after effect of such torture:

Vomiting+High Fever+Dizzy+Backache= Give me a break!

...and no laksa and kuey teow for a long long time.

A Day Out at the Park

My pup is definitely afraid of the outdoors, as she has not been exposed much to the outside world. And so, her park trips are not very enjoyable for her. Wouldn't want fleas to get onto her so she is NOT allowed to walk on the grass and so I have to carry her most of the time. I made her go on the slide which terrified her a lot! crossing fingers I will try not to do that again, sorry sweety :)

If only Edward Cullen was real

*The only time Edward looks like a vampire is in this picture*

Since I have read the book, this movie did not give me much excitement and anticipation as I could roughly guess what would happen next. Reading the book definitely allowed me to let my imaginations run wild. Bella's house wasn't as what I imagined it would be, same goes to the Cullens'.

The movie definitely can't give the same feeling as the book does. But we wouldn't wanna watch every single detail of their expressions. Sometimes a story remains better in a book rather than in motion picture.

I can't blame Robert Pattinson for not being as gorgeous as what Edward is suppose to be, as nobody is perfect in this world. So how could the casting director find anyone perfect, even outside Hollywood to portray Edward Cullen. Edward is supposed to be flawlessly beautiful, which is what Stephanie Mayer emphasized like a gazillion times in the story.

Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan. Hmmm. I do not like her acting. Maybe I'm oversensitive towards her acting. Robert Pattinson on the other hand played a pretty well job. Just one tiny bit which I do not like. Whenever he gives the Edward-is-a-protective-and-fierce-boyfriend stare, he seems to be forcing and manipulating his eyeballs till they look so awkward. He should have taken lessons from Tyra Banks.

People Nowadays

There are a few things which will really get on my nerves which I shall just name one for now. I really can't stand people that does something wrong and don't want to admit it. AND puts the blame on others instead.

For example, one day I was driving, and there was this car behind me that was zooming left and right like someone who desperately needs to shit. I was wondering what in the world is the driver doing??!! The traffic is sooo heavy and how fast can the cars go?? If he/she is in such a hurry just cut me and speed and crash his car la right? But NO!

SHE! I shall specify, SHE! cut me out of no where and stays next to my car for a few seconds, so that SHE can take a glance at me. Oh I shall take it as a compliment that SHE wanna know how pleasant-looking I am compared to her.

Then she zooms off like a hurricane. Whoosh whoosh! I bet other drivers were cursing her. Usually ppl like these doesn't have much patience or they are purely arrogant.

Another example, I was waiting for my mum to pick me up at midvalley today, so I was waiting near the entrance. As I turned back, a man almost bumped into me! He was looking down at his phone smsing, and he shouted "AH Kamu Ni!"!!

WTH! He was the one who didn't notice me standing there, and he blame me instead! He didn't even apologise! And as usual these kind of ppl loveeee to give you a long stare.

So, for those drivers who behave like morons, they should hang the sign behind their car!!

Midnight Talk

Last night, or should I say very early this morning, I was chatting with Gan using Skype. Then, we wanted to test whether my laptop has a microphone or not, so we decided to talk using Skype.

Calling...

No sound. Hello? Hello??

Gan! Can you hear me??

Yeah yeah I can hear you!

=) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) yay! I actually do have a microphone!

We yacked for about 1 hour and I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore so it was bedtime.
Ahem! Gan, I know I was so dumb for not turning the speaker volume louder, and I couldn't stop laughing at myself for not doing so. LOL

Gan showed me his room through the webcam, and it was a really cosy room. I'm still honoured for being the first :)

~Next time I on my webcam k? I'll put on make-up and be in my best outfit first. LOL ;)

Dizzy Woozy

That's right. No picture available this time because I don't fancy putting a horror movie wallpaper in my blog. The long awaited horror movie - Quarantine

According to the movie preview, the show is about a tape found in an abandoned apartment. So, the movie is indeed about the contents of the video tape. I shall not be a movie spoiler so nothing about the movie will be written.

However, I don't think the movie is suitable to be categorised under horror as it is not really horrifying but it gives you a bit of adrenaline rush. I felt sadddd somehow, maybe I was too into the show because it did not felt like a movie kind of thing since it was from a camera man's view. The con about this movie is that more explanation is needed to satisfy viewers. You'll understand after watching this movie.

Warning:
The movie is from a camera man's point of view. SO, it will make you feel dizzy throughout the movie. Anyways when you purchase the tickets the guy would warn you before hand :)

Double O Seven

007

I can't stop saying this, Daniel Craig does not have the Bond look AT ALL!! Why in the world did they even choose him to act as James Bond! He does not have the charming look at all and throughout the whole movie I don't feel as if I'm watching a Bond movie. HE spoiled it all, and I hope someone better would replace him SOON. Gosh I know I'm mean and prejudice against him but it's a fact.

Okay no more about Daniel Craig.

The storyline was rather confusing and complicated. Quantum of Solace is the continuation of the previous Bond movie, Casino Royale, which I didn't watch. But somehow I just wanted to watch this one so that I can officially say that Daniel Craig sucks. I can't even remember what happened. Everything happened so quickly! From one shooting scene to another. Rush rush rush! One minute there's explosion and bullets flying in mid-air, the next second he's at another scene talking on the phone already.

The worst part was there was this small boy behind our row, that kept talking non-stop, and he was also walking around. I was so annoyed!! I don't even understand what the movie was about and so how could those small kids understand! Gosh! Their parents should just bring them go watch cartoons instead. *Roll eyes*

You Got to Move It Move It

That's right! I'm talking about Madagascar 2 : Escape 2 Africa. Well, if you ask me, I can say that it is worth watching. The voice casts did a pretty amazing job, I personally like Ben Stiller as Alex, Chris Rock as Marty and David Schwimmer as Melman. David Schwimmer managed to portray Melman really well as a giraffe. I so want to watch the first Madagascar movie!! And in 2011, Madagascar 3 will be coming out!! And before the movie, Kah Tuck, Juan Lyn, Jon, Shu Jiun and I went to Little Vietnam for lunch, since we decided to have something different this time. After movie, we went to Zen for desserts and we yacked for quite some time.

Got to go rest now, my nose is running and my throat is sore :(

First Time

For the first time in my life, I earned my own money. Let me specify, HARD EARNED money as working at a warehouse sale is not easy at all! My initial thought of it was mild and moderate, not too tiring, BUT I was WRONG. Day 1 was extremely tiring as we had to unpack all the products and arrange them on the table. Not only that, the products were all mixed up and we had to sort them out accordingly. In my section, there was only 1 guy helping out, so the poor boy had to do all the carrying. We also had to pack the products so they could be sold out as a set instead of individually. Even though the products were suppose to be cheaper at a warehouse sale, but of course they wont so untung give new products right? Some of the goods were damaged, boxes were really torned, some even without a box, almost expired products, and worst of all there was this batch of product that was expired till the colour of the cream changed colour and yet they still sold those products. There was no break time AT ALL on the first day. Some of the staffs treated us part-timers like slaves. Just because we work part-time, they gave most of the work to us and they behave as if they are the boss. I think they kind of have some memory loss, because, they forgot that they are also working for the company and they are not the boss. 60 bucks was so not worth it working like a buruh kasar.

Most smart ass ppl are smarter in a way, as they only came on the 2nd day to work. The person-in-charged assign each of us a specific duty for the day. After half a day facing all the Biotherm products and almost remembered all the products' well, I was no longer helping out at that counter, as I was assigned to be an UNPACKER. Not a packer, but an unpacker. The reason why they needed an unpacker was because customers were given plastic bags to grab and throw their products inside and we as unpackers would take out all the products from the bag and read out the name of the product and the price to the cashier and then pass it to the packer to pack it into another bag. However, my cashier stated that she had to look at the price even though I read it already. Maybe she doesn't trust me or it's natural to do so. And so, I did not bother to read out the price. There were so many people at the warehouse sale, grabbing things that they would usually never buy. Just because it's cheaper they bought perfumes, make-up, skin care products like they never did before. Standing for almost the whole day was really tiring, my whole body felt like I ran a marathon after everything finished. In total, I got 160 bucks and a whole lot of experience during these 2 days.

Taipei, Day 1

Off to Taiwan...

Before that...

The couple has got nothing to do with this picture. They were blocking my view more like it. LOL

I accidentally deleted the picture of China Airlines aircraft -_-"

Anyways, I don't understand why Malaysia don't allow passengers to handcarry water bottles. Does it look like a bomb?? Maybe it looks like a mini atomic bomb

I just love the window seat, ample space to sleep. The flight from Malaysia to Taiwan takes about 4 hours plus.

No pictures of Taoyuan Airport in Taiwan were taken.

KLIA is MUCH nicer than that airport.

They like to sell food in a stick, and it's not cheap. It's about RM5 and above for a stick of fried stuff. They love to eat all sorts of intestines, from small to big intestines.

Loads of fried stuff available

Taiwan has all sorts of fruits, you know name it they have it. EXCEPT for durian

Most of the stalls sell the same kind of food, so I guess the competition between them is stiff

The omelette with an overdose of flour.

The Market Square in Shilin. We did not have the chance to go to the Shilin Night Market due to lack of time.

I think it's tofu

Taiwan style Bak Kut Teh, which does not taste like Bak Kut Teh at all. In other words, no taste.

The basic is just a bowl of pork, noodles or vege is additional.

The boney pork.

There are sooo many mirrors in the room. Around 16 mirrors! Every inch of the wall has a mirror. Behind me is a mini garden, with mirrors.

The mini garden. And there are 2 televisions in the room with more than 100 channels. Is it necessary to have 2 tvs?

The exterior of the room. The wallpaper and an old lady from the housekeeping wearing a pink dress gave me a shock. The real surprise wasn't until we opened the door and saw a room with 2 floors.

The jasmin orange chicken I bought from Shilin. It looked burnt and undelicious, but in fact it is yummy! And I don't even know the name of that drink, I just pointed at the picture of this drink and ordered it. But it taste good!

The ceiling of the lobby

The lobby of the King of France Palace Hotel. Now this make sense, all the fanciful and extreme decorations are actually based on french designs. It was more like a french king's bedroom.
