Pyramid

On Monday, I had an impromptu outing with dear. I suddenly felt like going to Sunway Pyramid since I had not been there for quite some time. Coincidentally, he wanted to go there initially but didn't want to, but we finally went there. I was impressed with the new carpark and the parking system.

This is the bulb that turns red when the censor sensed that there is a car in the parking lot, and turns green when the lot is vacant. And there are those electronic sign boards that tells us to go in the direction where there are vacant lots. Cool eh? Should have taken a photo of it. Anyways, that's it about parking.lol.

Since this was an impromptu outing, so we did not plan on what movie we were gonna watch. So, dear's friends decided to watch kungfu hiphop. Based on the title, the movie is about kungfu + hiphop. The cinema in Pyramid is kind of weird, as in the rows are so steep! It's as if we are really watching movie on the Pyramid's of Giza. My leg is practically at the person in front's head. And the chair is super hard and small, I felt like I was riding on a rollercoaster.Crazy!

Well I can't say that the movie is a Chinese version of Step Up 2, because it is totally different! The main actor is obviously Jordan Chan, but I didn't know that the supporting actor was a Korean guy. The whole movie was in Cantonese so I did not even realised whether the guy was speaking Korean or not. However, that Korean guy proved me right that Koreans are very good at dancing. I can't really judge whether the movie was nice anot as I was sooo distracted by the uncomfort of the seat, smell, coldness and going-to-fall-off-chair feeling. Geez!

Chobits

I finally finished watching an anime called CHOBITS! I think it's about 6 years ago when the manga was first published. I'm kind of outdated.lol. It was recommended by Mr. Normal, who said that it is a sad show. Well, certain scenes are kind of sad but I don't really understand the ending of the story. Ok the show is actually about a girl who is a persocom = robot. She was found near a pile of trash bags by a guy called Hideki. She then awakens and the only word she can say is "chi". And so the mystery of her true identity begins...

Odyssey.Aeon

The much awaited day has arrived. More than half of a hundred scouts from 17th PJ went for the event. Somehow, we were one of the last to enter. The one storey high structure was really impressive, if not ppl wouldn't want to queue up for hours just to walk through it right? I freaked out. There is no way i would have went down that almost 90 degrees so-called slide. The number of ppl present was scarily too many! Everywhere we turn to, there will be someone there, either walking, sitting, talking or even screaming. The performances were great. The lion dance, cheerleading that looks kinda messy, and the best was the drummers. The games did not go so well, as there was just too many ppl. Somehow, most of the performances were not performed by their scouts but instead by students of other clubs but they rocked it! The campfire was a high-quality one indeed but somehow I just did not enjoy myself.

"Bad"man

Batman uses a bat costume, so that is why he is called BATMAN! As usual those movies which I look forward to ends up to be not that nice, but the movies which I was not crazy over turns out to be awesome! The movie started off pretty well, great storyline and very entertaining throughout the show. I have to admit that Heath Ledger did a great job as the joker. Salute! Even though I did not watch Batman Begin but I really enjoyed the show, despite not knowing what is Batman about actually. I only know that he looks like a bat and comes out to save the city at night when the bat sign is shown in the sky. And i actually thought that Gotham was a bad guy.lol. I did read about batman a decade ago i think. Well, maybe it's because it's my least favourite among the rest of DC Comics. However, it is my favourite hero now!! :)

The Eve

Dinner was at Swez Brasserie, Eastin Hotel. Buffet style, my favourite! I had no idea what kind of food they serve, and I wanted Japanese buffet but they do not have it during weekdays. To my surprise, the food there was not bad after all. Everyday they have different cuisine, and on thursday which is today, they are serving Mexican food! On Mondays they have Italian food, Tuesdays they have German food, I forgot what they serve on Wednesdays, on Fridays they serve Arabian food and during weekends are continental food. Oh and they had the flag of Mexico next to the name of every Mexican dish.

The Waiter Boy

Is it necessary to phone the person who is already next to you? This is what the restaurant waiter has been wondering for a very long time. His boss so happened to be his dad, but they do not talk about work at home. One day, the management decides to have a bbq dinner for all the waiters. So, everyone received the msg, except the waiter boy.

Boy: Daddy, why am I not invited?
Daddy: My dear boy, it's because nobody remembers you, you are not even on the comfirmation list.
Boy: I don't even know about it. Nobody told me, they always say that you are my dad so they do not need to inform me as I always have direct information from you. But they do not understand that you do not like to inform me about work.
Daddy: Even if I inform you, that does not mean that you are wanted there.
Boy: Why am I not wanted there? It's suppose to be for all the waiters and i'm one of them. They serve drinks and food, so do I. They say " Thank You, please come again and so do I". And even if the whole world does not want me there you should want me there, daddy. You could have told me. There is no need for others to text me about this event, you could have just told me when we were having dinner just now. Because you are my daddy. You love me.
Daddy: I do not see that you are very outstanding in your work, you are unable to carry 2 trays filled with glasses at the same time, you broke the plates, you can't take down orders as fast as others and you do not get tips from the customers.
Boy: Every drop of water I pour into the glass is filled with sincerity, used all my strength to try to carry the trays and it's not that I don't get tips, I did not want to accept tips from the customers, as it is my duty as a waiter to serve them.

The boy just wants to do his job well as a waiter, even if nobody wants him there including his dad, he will still do his job well. That was what he has always been doing, and still doing, ever since he became a waiter. He loves his job as a waiter and had always put all his heart into that job.

The Past, Present And Future

Well, this was the theme used by Bukit Bintang for their campfire yesterday. I thought that it would be raining but fortunately it did not. I like their structure, but I was freaking out as usual when I had to cross it. When I saw the area allocated for the campfire, I was like OMG. The area is sooo small compared to Samad's, even though I commented that Samad's was smaller, this is seriously super small. It's a good thing though, because there were only 9 of us who went. Lol. Basically, the performances were great, especially their sketch. I particularly adore the "main actor" of the sketch :) We were supposed to create a yell and it has to be original and creative. The 9 of us were looking at each other looking lost, so we decided to just sing our troop song, really loud and clear. Deng deng deng deng! We won! haha. See! This proves that even though we are the minority but with the spirit we can do it. Lastly, I like the souvenier, at least something different so far. Conclusion : Great campfire!

I just had to take this. lol

Camera shy :)

The enormous banner. Very impressive!

The souvenir

The main actor ( in orange ) looks like chee ken.lol

Meet Chee Yoong!

Vincent Tan forcing him to be in the picture

This thing freaked me out! Thanx to Vincent and Poh Yee who shaked the swinging thing

The Unexpected

On Thursday, Yen and I went out to 1u to do some catching up. There were no shopping involved, purely chit-chatting between us cousins. We ate at Nandos, famous for their peri-peri chicken, but I can only take up to the hot flavour. NO to extra hot! After lunch we went for a movie. The only movie available at that time was hellboy.

Initially, I thought that the movie would be the usual lame thriller/horror movie, this time with a red guy as the villian. I expected the storyline to be about a guy who destroys the world which gives the evil hahaha laugh. However, to my surprise Hellboy IS the hero. Overall the movie was impressive. I'm not sure whether it is a sequeal from Hellboy 1, but this is indeed a must-watch movie.

Reality

From the very beginning, life was not a fairytale. It jumped straight to reality, even before it all started. Everything was so real, there was no white horse with prince charming in the carriage but just a white metal car with black strips. I felt very at home being in that car, ever since I rode in it. The stiffness and uncomfort I felt when riding the white horse did not exist in this white little car. The happiness was real, there were no hiding or pretending. Most importantly, I was myself and that matters a lot. The hidden fantasy behind all these was in fact quite sweet in a way. The giggling and laughing came sincerely from my heart, and there is no doubt that Mr. Normal is and will be my fantasy.

Fairytale

Life is not a fairytale, and it will never be. I like fairytales and it did came true, the perfect prince charming and life every girl wish to have. However, it was too real to be true. Life was too perfect at that time, that I wished it was a bit more normal. It was as if i was in dreamland struggling to wake up. Until one day, I met Mr. Normal, and from then on I woke up from my fantasy dream.
