Rainbow In the Night

It feels like Heaven on Earth
Wisconsin

They call it "The Northern Light". Auroras occur when charged particles from the Sun strike atoms in the Earth's atmosphere. The intensity of Auroral displays on Earth are directly tied to the Sun's activity, which follows an 11 year high-low cycle. Solar activity should increase in 2010, with a peak expected to occur in 2012.Green is the most common color for the auroras. During periods of intense solar flares, the auroras display shades of red, yellow or purple. Auroras that occur in the northern hemisphere are called Aurora Borealis, while those over the south pole are called Aurora Australis.

Siew Yee's Bday@Delicious

We celebrated Siew Yee's Bday at Delicious, Bangsar Village. That place was full-house when we arrived as it was lunch time on a Friday. It's not that ppl don't have to work on Fridays but somehow it is an excuse to escape the norm and go out for long lunches. There were 6 of us and as usual there was a frog among the roses; Kah Tuck, Siew Yee the Birthday girl, Carmen, Li Zhen, Li Hoong and I.

We ordered those of the above, macaroni cheese and wedges.

Siew Yee, Carmen and I

"I wish for little giraffes in the future"
I bet that's Siew Yee's wish!! LOL

How can I not comment on the cake? They microwaved the cake to melt the chocolate and gave a scope of ice-cream each. It looks like a brownie but it doesn't taste like one at all. Because it's a chocolate cake and not a brownie.

Speedy yet Breezy

Lunch @SushiZanmai
It was a good way to escape from my usual routine
For once I had my mind off the usual things I had to do
Needed a break just like this
And it came at a perfect time
With great food and company :))

Supper@McD

More like babysitting at McD! Playing "police n thief" at the play area reminded me that I'm not as tiny as them. I can't sqeeze through the small holes and go down the slide as easy as them.

Never Give Up

It was nerve-wrecking for every one of us. We were unprepared and undecided. Thankfully for Chia Sin and Rui Yi who agreed to play even though they can't, if not we would have been disqualified due to lack of players. Learning how to play badminton on the day of the competition is seriously a big nono! We will never ever gonna do that again. LOL Although we didn't make it to the semifinals but we had loads of fun and most importantly we tried our best!

By the way, this sports complex is quite nice but it's at Cheras. Too far to go there to play :(

The girls

Our "P" sign
Yup, this is our team. We seemed to be out-numbered by the rest of the houses. BUT we are very proud of each other. The amount of mental stress and "see first see first" that we had to endure. Phew! What a night!

We went to celebrate at KFC, in conjunction with our mini victory as well as merdeka. LOL
~We did not give up hope despite being on the losing end~

Bon Voyage

She's always the big sister
And she'll always be.
The adults are not in this pic. Kids only :)) Yen and her cousins from both side of her family.
Yen's leaving for UK in a week's time. So we had a gathering and dinner @One World Hotel. The food was awesome! I wish I could have spent more time with her but I'm seriously busy with uni work at the moment :( Thankfully for the high technology that we have in the 21st century. Soon grandma would know how to use the webcam as I'm gonna teach her how to use it =))
All the best Yen!! I will miss you!
