Taichung / Tainan, Day 3

Guess what's this pile of soil doing here

It is actually a lifted-up ground due to an earthquake

This is the Earthquake Museum

A destroyed building of a school

Why is it that schools are always the main place to be destroyed by earthquakes??

Inside the gallery there are many informations about earthquakes, and we got to experience how an earthquake felt like.

This school is actually huge. The government chose this place to be the museum as it is where the earthquake originated from. Luckily the earthquake occurred at night, no students got hurt, if not I don't think they got the mood to even make this a museum.

They even have a swimming pool, which was obviously destroyed. They built a huge 921 statue which indicates the date and month this earthquake occurred.

This has definitely got nothing to do with the earthquake.lol

It is called beetle nut

Seen the bowl of red paste on the right?

It is cancerous!

But ppl still eat them. Pfft

And who attracts customers to buy?

Girls wearing only bra and panty

The nut itself is not cancerous, but it is when added with the red stuff

That's the red stuff alright

I think the nut will make ppl go high

Main reason for eating this is to keep warm, but nowadays they are misusing the nut

Sun Moon Lake

Why is it call sun moon lake?

Because the shape of the lake is like the sun and moon

LOL

A pagoda some guy build as a remembrance of his mother

Wen Wu Temple

My initial impression of the peacock garden is that it will be swarming with peacocks, like hundred of them. BUT there are just few miserable ones

Featherless-neck chicken

Golden peacock

Taiwan peacock

White feather peacock

Blue peacock

I think this is the prettiest

I was hoping that the peacocks would fight or mate so that their feathers would open up

Sad to say, no

This is our room at the Dakeng Leisure Farm

A tool used to make mochi

We went to the hot spring spa at night

Coooooooold

This is a piglet

Somehow these animals kept showing their buttocks

Can't get a glimpse at their faces
