Taipei, Day 1

Off to Taiwan...

Before that...

The couple has got nothing to do with this picture. They were blocking my view more like it. LOL

I accidentally deleted the picture of China Airlines aircraft -_-"

Anyways, I don't understand why Malaysia don't allow passengers to handcarry water bottles. Does it look like a bomb?? Maybe it looks like a mini atomic bomb

I just love the window seat, ample space to sleep. The flight from Malaysia to Taiwan takes about 4 hours plus.

No pictures of Taoyuan Airport in Taiwan were taken.

KLIA is MUCH nicer than that airport.

They like to sell food in a stick, and it's not cheap. It's about RM5 and above for a stick of fried stuff. They love to eat all sorts of intestines, from small to big intestines.

Loads of fried stuff available

Taiwan has all sorts of fruits, you know name it they have it. EXCEPT for durian

Most of the stalls sell the same kind of food, so I guess the competition between them is stiff

The omelette with an overdose of flour.

The Market Square in Shilin. We did not have the chance to go to the Shilin Night Market due to lack of time.

I think it's tofu

Taiwan style Bak Kut Teh, which does not taste like Bak Kut Teh at all. In other words, no taste.

The basic is just a bowl of pork, noodles or vege is additional.

The boney pork.

There are sooo many mirrors in the room. Around 16 mirrors! Every inch of the wall has a mirror. Behind me is a mini garden, with mirrors.

The mini garden. And there are 2 televisions in the room with more than 100 channels. Is it necessary to have 2 tvs?

The exterior of the room. The wallpaper and an old lady from the housekeeping wearing a pink dress gave me a shock. The real surprise wasn't until we opened the door and saw a room with 2 floors.

The jasmin orange chicken I bought from Shilin. It looked burnt and undelicious, but in fact it is yummy! And I don't even know the name of that drink, I just pointed at the picture of this drink and ordered it. But it taste good!

The ceiling of the lobby

The lobby of the King of France Palace Hotel. Now this make sense, all the fanciful and extreme decorations are actually based on french designs. It was more like a french king's bedroom.

Taipei / Taichung, Day 2

Taiwan's largest amusement park

"Leofoo Village Theme Park"

Looks dry eh?

The weather is soooo hot that even tigers are soaking themselves, chilling~

Monkey kingdom

I wonder how can they stand the heat

This rascal was attacking the bus

Say helloooo to Simba

This one looks mean

RAWR!

This theme park lacks what a theme park is suppose to have

A great atmosphere

It is old alright

The old train station which is still serving as a train station

At a coffee chop/restaurant

Best PAN TIAN you can find in whole of Taiwan

It looks like Pan Mee but the texture is way better.

A pet shop

Delicious looking mochi

The noodle shop

Is the shop owner posing??

Yummiest dumpling ever!

The oldest cinema in Taiwan

It can only accommodate about 15 ppl

No James Bond or Wall-E here

Maybe some Bruce Lee or Lin Dai's movies

Shin Kong Mitsukoshi
This is where I bought Jay Chou's album

One thing I like about Taiwan is that they have special boxes for certain vehicles

Feng Jia Night Market

Small sausage in a bigger sausage

People queueing up to buy the hotdog

I totally had no idea how it tasted like

I assumed it taste like a normal sausage

There is another stall on the right hand side which sells the same sausage

But this stall has more business, because the sausage tastes better

You can tell by the length of the queue

I forgot to upload a photo of all the ingredients they put in the hotdog

It is actually a sausage in glutinous rice(shape of a sausage)

As far as I can remember they added raw garlic, minced meat, spring onions, pickles, ginger, another kind of pickle and a few other stuffs.

Sounds weird but it taste awesome!!

This night market is made up of many rows of shops, unlike Shilin Night Market which is made up of one very long row of stalls at both sides

The funny thing about crossing roads in Taiwan is that, vehicles are allowed to move when it is the pedestrians' turn to cross the road. I do not know what kind of stupid system is this.

Somehow this guy was waving frantically at me

He must have been overjoyed

Papparazi snapping a photo of him

This jelly lime drink can be found almost everywhere we went. So I decided to get one to figure out what is the big deal about this drink. And yea it tasted good. Refreshing!

Almost 98% of the 2-wheels vehicle in Taiwan is made up of scooters. Yes that's right, scooters and not motorcycles

Notice the piece of paper at the back of the scooter?

A closer look of the piece of paper.

Everytime, there will be this guy, issueing this ticket
