One of the many reasons that made my day

Deary forced me to pose with the stone balls which he described as a state of art. The last time when we went to Midvalley, we saw a group of 4 sitting on each of the stone balls chitchatting and having a great time. Hence, Deary was so impressed with this idea of placing a few non chair-looking balls in the middle of the fountain area for ppl to hang out and chitchat. We actually debated on the purpose of those stone balls and I still insist that it is merely for decoration purposes. It was just a coincidence that those ppl sat on the stone balls just because they didn't have any place to sit for free without having to spend money on a cup of coffee at Starbucks just to sit outdoors and chitchat LOL

This is what happens when you go out with a future architect.

You are my co-pilot

The first thing deary asked me was "What is this movie about??, I've never heard of it before and the poster tells me that it's gonna be a boring movie". Well, this movie won the Acedemy Award for Best Screenplay! Seriously I personally thought George Clooney deserved to win the Best Actor award. It takes a lot to portray Ryan Bingham; the main character of the movie, especially for what deary calls "a talking movie" i.e. a movie without much special effects and lots of talking done in the movie. Alice in Wonderland was almost sold out by the time we reached Midvalley. It's actually suicidal to watch a movie on a Friday night at Midvalley as the queue at the ticket counter is predictably long. We couldn't catch the 7pm show as we were late! So we got the 9.30pm show and oh boy was I so afraid that I would fall asleep watching movie at that time as I am very prone to falling asleep while watching late night movies. So, after the gruesome queue, we went to fill our hungry stomachs with.....

POPEYES!! Everyone who ate this said that it is much better than KFC which I agree too. But nobody told me that the mash potato, chicken and biscuit was so salty! No wonder the Westerners are so prone to obesity and hypertension. They eat so much salt!!! By the way, I forgot to mention that the movie is worth watching!! Sometimes it's not all about the visual effects and all. It's about the message behind it.

That's me with my co-pilot :)

Word's Most Unique Places to Visit

The Dragon's Blood Trees of Socotra

The otherworldly Dragon's Blood Trees and other 700 rare species of flora and fauna have drawn people to Socotra, an island in the Indian Ocean, off the horn of the African continent.

Takstang Monastery in the Kingdom of Bhutan

The Kingdom of Bhutan is the last remaining kingdom in Asia and is the only place in the world to measure Gross National Happiness. Takstang means "tiger's lair" and hangs on a cliff high above the Paro valley. Visitors must climb the slope on foot or by mule.

Dogon Buildings in Mali

The Dogon is an ethnic group that lives in Mali, in western Africa; their villages are characterized by living structures of unusual architecture. The buildings with pointed straw roofs are for storage of grains, foods, clothes, jewelry and money.

Throat Singers of Tuva

The throat-singing Tuva people of southern Siberia create sounds and harmonies unique to foreigners' ears. It is a style that simultaneously combines two or more pitches over a fundamental pitch to create sounds mimicking nature. The pastime is popular especially among the Tuvan male herders, because they are able to practice in the broad, open fields while they work.

Mansudae Monument in Pyongyang, North Korea

"It's like Mars with people," says William Altaffer of Expedition Photo Travel, who has visited Pyongyang four times. Tourists are told to keep a respectable distance and bow in front of the 20-meter-high bronze statue of previous dictator Kim Il Sung. Only after doing so are visitors allowed to take pictures--then these are checked to make sure the leader is portrayed in a positive light.

Oceangoing Hippos in Gabon

The West African coast is the only place in the world where there are "surfing" hippos. Gabon is also known for its lush tropical rainforests and assortment of animal life, including gorillas, forest elephants and colorful mandrills.

Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump

For 5,500 years, the Native Americans of the North American Great Plains killed bison by chasing them off this cliff located in what's now Alberta, Canada. They would then carve up the bison carcasses in the camp below. This is one of the biggest and best preserved buffalo jumps in North America.

Antarctic Glaciers

The coldest land mass in the world is also the least touched by human activity. The dramatic, white landscape, as well as the unique wildlife, make for an unforgettable journey.

I wonder if I ever cross your mind

Current addiction- Need You Now by Lady Antebellum

I first got to know about this country music group when I was watching the Grammy's. They had a live performance for this song and immediately i fell in love with it. They won a Grammy award for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. Even better than Two is Better than One by Boys Like Girls! And trust me I have no idea why Taylor Swift won the award for best album of the year.

Keen Wai's Bday@Delicious

The Birthday boy and his cake!
ZEN Chocolate Cake ~yummy~

Gotcha gossipping & stealing those chocolate chips!

The mirror came in handy!

Reminiscing our pillow talk sessions

You see us fighting in the pic?
Yup that is what we do best! =))

Us posing in front of the Harry Potter-ish castle

We were not warned!! It was J(Jusco) card member day. Jam jam jam! The amount of ppl in midvalley was insane, especially Jusco. It seemed like there were free gold up for grasp but no! It was just their annual J card member sale! Ppl were just grabbing stuffs like they were free. Unfortunately, we were one of them :( Oh but the difference was, we didn't grab stuffs. We browsed through item by item carefully without making any indulging purchase =)) Well actually, we helped Kar Wei search high and low for Christmas pressies for her 3 little cousins. So in the end, thanx to Sarcastic Sam/Sexy Sam/Silly Sam, she bought 3 build-it-yourself dinosaur kits.

Oh and and I almost forgotten about this one. As we were walking to Delicious, we witnessed a married couple arguing. The man got angrier by the second(no idea why was he so angry) and finally he pushed the pram, with his son in it, with full force, towards his wife! OMG everyone around them was stunned! Trying not to be busybodies or to be more precised, trying not to get ourselves into trouble, we hurriedly walked away. Later on when Kah Tuck and I went to get Keen Wai's bday cake, we saw the same man again! He was sitting down with his son but this time without his wife around. He looked like he was sulking! Try to picture a grown-up man with a big belly sulking, playing around with a balloon stick. But I guess we are really fated as we bumped into him again, at Vincci. Well the difference was, he was with his wife this time. He looked OK. Well he had to be Ok in order to accompany his wife to do some shoe shopping. Oh well at least a happy ending =)) I hope!

Movie was in between all those dramas we had at midvalley. From having lunch at Delicious to shoe shopping to movie to more shopping to time-out break. We were left with no choice. Princess and the Frog was our only option and thank goodness it was fantastic! Disney never failed to amaze me once again. It was a classic princess story you would expect it to be but it still had its originality. There's always a but in everything(I wonder why). I fell asleep again during a movie and it's always during the climax(fighting scenes). Damn it :(

Despite the chaotic situation we faced, battling through the crowd to go from one end to another, it was indeed a great reunion for the CIG. Well just in case you were wondering, it stands for Crab Island Gang. Sounds cool eh? Heehee
